Just a quick addition to yesterday’s post – another version of the rainbow gradient using nail foil, this time over a black base.
One big advantage of a black base – you can really see the foil glue (which applies as a sort of clear neon blue before drying clear), unlike the white base. I really only did these as a test run on Cindy for my swap, but I really like how they turned out so they get their own post.
One tip I didn’t include in yesterday’s post: use a light hand with the glue. I went heavy and it took forever to dry, and in some parts it wasn’t even dry when I applied the foil (you can see it where it’s sticky and pulls away on a couple of nails. I even used a hair dryer to try to speed things up a bit to no success.
I know which one I like most, so tell me: which version do you like better?
P.S. Got a fun watermarble design coming up soon so watch out for that!
