I have to admit that working with striping tape is not my favourite.
Which is why it’s a little strange that I would choose to do a design based on precise placement of tape cut to precise lengths to create a modern stripe design.
I used copper tape for most of my nails, and then used black on the ring finger. The black tape is slightly thinner than the copper, so I decided to do a few more lines. Check it out here:
In the end, I think I like the look of the copper tape more than the black tape, but that’s how it goes sometimes, right?
One of the things that annoys me about the striping tape (aside from working with it in the first place), is that it always seems to lift up on the edges. I’ve tried “gluing” it down with polish underneath, and sealing it in with top coat on top, but I still struggle with it. Does anyone else have this problem? Any advice for getting it to stick securely?
