So before we get into my July 2015 fitness goals, let’s recap my June goals and how I did:
As you can see, it’s sad trombone time in lolo-land 🙁
So what the hell happened? Basically, I hurt my leg and completely fell off the bandwagon. I wallowed in pain and self pity and stopped doing everything, including eating properly, and found myself missing goals and a few pounds heavier. Oops!
So now what? Back on track!
My running goals for July are going to have a large margin of error since my leg is still not 100% and my ankle continues to randomly swell up for no apparent reason (I have a doctor appointment next week to follow-up), though there’s no pain at all and I don’t even notice until I look at it.
So with that said, here’s my rough plan for July:
I’m planning on being flexible and forgiving with the mileage until my leg is 100%. If I need another week or two then that’s what I’ll take. After the IT band fiasco last year I’ve learned to just let things heal rather than rushing back in and making things worse.
Though it’s so hard to be patient. Sigh.
