Born Pretty Pink Holo Swatch/Review

May 20, 2017 Leave a comment Written by Lauren

Hello again, I’m back with a review of this pink holographic polish from the Born Pretty Store. Keep reading after the jump for more pics and my full review.

Note: I received this polish, 6ml Born Pretty Holo Polish Holographic Glitter Nail Varnish Hologram Effect #24, # 24878 in exchange for my honest review.

Born Pretty Store sells holographic (holo) polishes in two sizes: 6ml and 10ml. The one I received is the 6ml size, which is a good size if you don’t plan to wear the same polish all the time, but a little small if it’s going to get frequent use. And this polish actually deserves frequent use. It applies really smoothly and is opaque in two coats. You can watch my application in the video below:

As mentioned in the video, the smaller size comes along with a smaller price tag, which is nice if you want a variety of colours on a budget. Unfortunately, they don’t list the ingredients on the bottle or the website, so I can’t comment on whether their polishes are 3- or 5-free.

As for wear, I applied this over the same peel-off base coat I always wear. I found it chipped a little earlier than some other polishes I have but overall wasn’t much different in terms of longevity.

So… would I recommend it? The polish itself – absolutely. The price and the quality speak for themselves. However, shipping from the Born Pretty Store takes a minimum of three months to Canada, and I waited more than four months for this sample (as well as a paid order I placed at the same time), and that’s pretty hard to recommend.

Ultimately, if you’re not in any sort of hurry then Born Pretty Store is great. They have a huge selection, low prices, and the customer service people are very nice and help as much as they can. If you need something within a couple months, then I unfortunately have to recommend looking elsewhere.

If you have any questions I haven’t addressed here, please leave a comment below!

Until next time!

L

Note: While I received this polish in exchange for review, all opinions are my own. I have purchased product from the Born Pretty Store with my own money twice and use their products frequently in my nail art. I have made an effort to highlight both the benefits and drawbacks of their products and service to provide you with a direct and honest review.
